Kidney 14

Chinese Name: Siman (English translation: Four Fullness)

Location: On the lower abdomen, 2 cun below the center of the umbilicus, .5 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

Classification: Crossing point of the KID Meridian and the Chong Vessel

Indications:

  • Abdominal pain and distention, diarrhea, edema
  • Irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea

Functions: Tonifies Kidney Qi, regulates the water passageways, regulates the Lower Jiao, moves Blood stagnation, regulates the Ren and Chong Vessels.

Needling: Perpendicular insertion 1.0 - 1.5 cun.
